Bourne is about fifteen miles north of the East Falmouth yard, roughly twenty-five minutes up Route 151 and Route 28.
Bourne is the town everybody drives through and almost nobody stops in, which does it a disservice. It is the only Cape Cod town with land on both sides of the canal, and that single fact governs how we schedule it. Sagamore, Sagamore Beach and Bournedale sit on the mainland shoulder. Buzzards Bay, Monument Beach, Pocasset and Cataumet sit on the Cape side. A container going to Sagamore Beach and a container going to Cataumet are two genuinely different trips, even though the two addresses share a town hall and a tax bill.
Housing here is a mix you will not find further out. Canal-view ranches from the sixties, tight seasonal streets down by Barlows Landing and Patuisset, year-round subdivisions off County Road, and the steady rental churn that comes with the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and Joint Base Cape Cod. How we reach Bourne
From East Falmouth our Bourne runs head west on Route 151 to Route 28, then north, then straight up the four-lane toward the Bourne Rotary. Anything on the Cape side, meaning Pocasset, Monument Beach, Cataumet or Buzzards Bay, comes off that stretch or off Route 28A and County Road. Sagamore, Sagamore Beach and Bournedale mean crossing the water, either over the Bourne Bridge and along the Scenic Highway or around by the Sagamore Bridge. Permits, placement and access in Bourne

It can, which is why we ask which side of the canal you are on before quoting a time. Sagamore Beach and Bournedale deliveries have to cross either the Bourne or the Sagamore Bridge, and both crossings queue badly on summer Friday and Sunday afternoons and during any bridge maintenance work. Midweek mid-morning is the reliable window. Cape-side addresses like Pocasset and Cataumet never cross the water at all, so those are easier to schedule tightly.
Where does Bourne household and construction waste actually go?
Bourne hosts the Upper Cape Regional Transfer Station, which also serves Sandwich, Falmouth and Mashpee. That facility is set up for residents hauling their own material, and access generally requires a town sticker or permit with rules and fees that vary. Our roll-off service is separate from that.
