Roll-off dumpster rental in Brewster
Brewster is about 33 miles from our East Falmouth yard, Route 6 to Exit 82 for Route 124, or Exit 85 for Route 137, then out to Route 6A.
They call Brewster the sea captains' town for good reason. Somewhere north of fifty masters of deep-water ships lived along this stretch of Route 6A in the 1800s, and they built accordingly: big square Federals and Greek Revivals with wide-board floors, plaster over lath, deep brick chimney stacks and additions bolted on across two centuries. Renovating one is nothing like renovating a ranch. The debris comes out heavy, dusty and awkward, and the driveway you are staging on is often gravel between two stone walls.
We have been running containers up 6A since 2011. In a normal Brewster week that means a roof tear-off near Breakwater Beach, a barn clear-out off Stony Brook Road, a kitchen gut in one of the Ocean Edge condominiums and an estate cleanout in a house that has not been emptied since the sixties. You are a good 33 miles from the yard, so we run Brewster on scheduled windows rather than drive-by drops. Tell us the day you want it and the day you want it gone, and we will hold that. Flat rate, disposal included to the quoted tonnage, no surprise line items.
Local knowledge
Getting our bearings in Brewster
Knowing a town properly is the difference between a container that fits and a truck that has to turn around.
- Nickerson State Park — Nearly 1,900 acres of kettle ponds and pine off Route 6A; the residential roads on its edges are narrow and heavily wooded.
- Cape Cod Museum of Natural History — On Route 6A near the Paines Creek marsh, a good landmark for the west side of town.
- Stony Brook Grist Mill — The 1873 mill and herring run in West Brewster; the lanes around it are old, tight and mostly single-lane in practice.
- Brewster Ladies' Library — A Route 6A fixture with a large collection, right in the stretch of town center that clogs in July.
- Ocean Edge Resort — Built around the 1890 Nickerson Mansion, with condominium clusters where placement has to be cleared with property management.
- Breakwater Beach and Paines Creek Beach — Bay-side beaches with long tidal flats; the approach roads have soft, sandy shoulders that will not hold a loaded truck.
How we reach Brewster
Brewster has no Route 6 exit of its own, which surprises people. We come off the highway at Exit 82 and run Route 124 north, or at Exit 85 for Route 137, and both dump onto Route 6A, which is the spine of the town. Exit 89 works for the far east end near the Orleans line. Route 6A through Brewster is a two-lane historic road with stone walls, mature trees and almost no shoulder, and in July and August it moves at a crawl between the town center and Nickerson. Punkhorn and the pond roads on the south side are sandier and narrower still. None of that is a problem if we know about it. It becomes a problem when a truck arrives at four in the afternoon in August with no plan.

What comes out of Brewster properties
Brewster's building stock is unusually top-heavy with early nineteenth century money: full two-story captains' houses, Federal and Greek Revival, plus the Italianate and Second Empire piles like the 1888 Crosby Mansion. Those produce the heaviest residential debris we handle anywhere on the Cape. Horsehair plaster over sawn lath, old brick, slate and multiple layers of cedar and asphalt roofing all stack up fast, and a full second-floor gut can hit tonnage in a 15 yard box while it still looks half empty. South of 6A the picture changes to postwar and 1970s ranches, capes and pond-side seasonal houses on wooded lots, where the debris is lighter and the volume is what drives the size. Add a genuinely large stock of outbuildings, barns and detached garages that come down every year, plus storm-dropped pitch pine and scrub oak, and Brewster keeps a range of container sizes busy.

Permits, placement and access in Brewster
Brewster sits in the Old King's Highway Regional Historic District, so exterior work on property north of Route 6 goes in front of the town's Old King's Highway committee for a certificate before anything comes off the building. Brewster does not carry a separate demolition delay bylaw, but that historic district review still governs a lot of what gets torn down. Container placement on your own driveway or lot is normally between you and us. Placement in a town road or on a town landing is not, and Public Works decides that. Ask the Town of Brewster before you count on the road, and never guess.
How it works
Booking a dumpster in Brewster
Nothing about ordering a container should be complicated. It is not.
- 1
Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask what you are clearing, where the box needs to sit and when you need it, and whether the property is on septic. No forms, no waiting on an email.
- 2
We size it and quote it flat
Say where you want it and what the ground is. a stone apron in Brewster needs boards, and we bring them.
- 3
Delivered on boards, where you want it
Protection under the rails, container set square, truck away. In season we schedule around the traffic rather than fight it.
- 4
Load at your own pace
Keep it level with the top rail and keep the banned items out. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call and we are on it.
- 5
We haul it and sort it right
We pull the metal, the clean rubble and the green waste out for recovery. Mixing them in is what turns a straightforward Brewster load into a charge-back.

Local answers
Dumpster rental in Brewster — common questions
Why do you push smaller containers for old Brewster houses?
Because weight beats volume here. Plaster-and-lath, old brick and layered roofing are dense, and a 30 yard box loaded with that material can exceed what we are allowed to carry on the road long before it looks full. Two 15 yard pulls usually cost less than one overweight 30 and one overage charge. We would rather set expectations on the phone than hand you a bill you did not see coming.
Can you deliver to Ocean Edge or a condominium association?
Yes, and we do it regularly, but the association usually has its own rules about where a container can sit, how long it can stay and whether it needs to be tarped. Get written clearance from property management first and pass us the approved location. We can also run a shorter rental window if the association caps how many days a box can sit, which several of them do in season.
Do you take brush and yard waste from Brewster lots?
We handle brush, limbs and storm debris, but yard waste is banned from Massachusetts disposal facilities and has to be kept separate from mixed construction debris. That means a clean load of brush, no lumber, no trash mixed in. If a nor'easter drops pitch pine across your driveway, call us and we will send a dedicated container for the wood rather than have you contaminate a demo load.
How far ahead should I book in Brewster?
Off-season, a day or two is usually plenty and we can often do same-day or next-day. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, give us three to five days. Route 6A moves slowly, we are running a full route out to the Outer Cape, and a firm morning window is far more reliable than a vague afternoon promise. Big projects in July should be booked the week before.
